BRG have carried out both conventional reflection and refraction seismic surveys and more recently, surveys using the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) technique. MASW surveys are implemented fully on the ground surface and can be used in many places where conventional seismic refraction methods cannot. The surveys provide continuous coverage evaluating variations in surface waves to deduce the elastic properties of the shallow subsurface (to depths of up to 30m). This technique is based on multi-channel recording and analysis which allows for better noise elimination and waveform analysis.
